Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how WeWire Technologies Inc. ("WeWire", "we", "us", or "our") and our service providers and partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), local storage, server logs, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Cookies" and "Tracking Technologies") when you visit, access, or interact with our website at www.wewire.com and any related sub-domains (the "Site"), or when you use our payment, account, foreign exchange, and related technology services (the "Services").

This Policy describes what these technologies are, why we use them, the categories of Cookies we use, the third parties with whom we share information collected through Cookies, and your choices and rights in relation to such use.

This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given to them in our Privacy Policy or Terms and Conditions.

By continuing to use the Site or the Services, or by clicking "Accept" or any equivalent mechanism in our cookie banner or preference centre, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy and, where applicable law requires consent, you consent to the use of Cookies as described in this Policy.

You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time as described in Section 8 below.

This Policy is intended to comply with applicable laws regulating the use of Cookies and similar technologies, including (without limitation) the EU ePrivacy Directive (and national implementing laws), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR / UK GDPR), the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (UK PECR), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and other applicable data-protection and electronic-communications laws.

2. What Are Cookies and Tracking Technologies?

2.1 Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, or other internet-enabled device) by a website you visit. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device and to store certain information about your preferences or actions. Cookies do not generally contain information that personally identifies you, but Personal Data we store about you may be linked to information stored in and obtained from Cookies.

2.2 Types of Cookies by Origin

Cookies may be classified by who places them:

(a) First-party Cookies: placed by us, or on our behalf, when you visit the Site. These are read only by the Site.

(b) Third-party Cookies: placed by third parties, such as analytics providers, advertising networks, or social-media platforms, through the Site. The third parties may also collect information about your activities across other websites.

2.3 Types of Cookies by Duration

(a) Session Cookies: temporary Cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session as you navigate the Site.

(b) Persistent Cookies: remain on your device for a set period, or until you delete them. They allow the Site to recognise you across visits and to remember your preferences.

2.4 Other Tracking Technologies

In addition to Cookies, we and our partners may use other Tracking Technologies, including:

(a) Web beacons / pixels: small graphic images, sometimes invisible, embedded in web pages or emails that transmit information back to us or our partners, including whether an email was opened, whether a page was visited, and certain device or browser information.

(b) Tags: code snippets used to track activity, fire other Tracking Technologies, or pass data to third parties.

(c) Software development kits (SDKs): code libraries embedded in mobile applications or other software that perform similar functions to Cookies.

(d) Local storage and session storage: HTML5 storage mechanisms by which websites store data in your browser independently of Cookies.

(e) Device fingerprinting: techniques that combine device, browser, and network attributes to identify and recognise a device.

(f) Server logs: records automatically generated by our servers when you access the Site, capturing information such as IP address, request, response, timestamp, and user agent.

References in this Policy to "Cookies" include all such similar Tracking Technologies unless the context indicates otherwise.

4.6 Social Media Cookies

If our Site contains embedded social-media content, such as videos, posts, or share buttons, the relevant social-media providers may set Cookies on your device. These Cookies allow the providers to track activity, recognise you as a user of their service, and, where you are logged in, associate that activity with your account. We do not control these Cookies. Where required by applicable law, we set them only with your consent.

Lawful basis: consent where required.

5. How Long Do Cookies Last?

The duration of each Cookie is shown in the tables in Section 4. Generally, session Cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent Cookies have a defined expiration date, ranging from a few minutes to several years, depending on the purpose. We periodically review Cookie durations and shorten retention periods where reasonably practicable.

You may delete Cookies at any time through your browser settings (see Section 8). Deletion will not prevent Cookies from being set again the next time you visit, unless you have configured your browser to block them or have withdrawn consent through our preference centre.

6. Third Parties and International Transfers

6.1 Some Cookies are placed by third-party service providers and partners, including analytics providers, advertising networks, security providers, and customer-support tools. These third parties act as independent controllers, or in equivalent roles under applicable Data Protection Laws, of the Personal Data they collect through Cookies, and their use of such data is governed by their own privacy and cookie notices. We encourage you to review those notices.

6.2 Information collected through Cookies, including IP address, device identifiers, browser characteristics, and online activity, may be transferred to, stored in, and Processed in jurisdictions outside your jurisdiction of residence, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, and other jurisdictions in which our providers and partners operate. We rely on the same transfer safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

6.3 By consenting to the use of non-essential Cookies where required, or by continuing to use the Site, you acknowledge such international transfers.

Links to the privacy and cookie policies of the principal third parties referenced in this Policy are set out below. We are not responsible for the content of these third-party policies, and they may change without notice.

7. Lawful Bases for Using Cookies

7.1 Where applicable Data Protection Laws require consent for the placement or reading of Cookies, such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and Quebec Law 25, we obtain your consent through our cookie consent banner before setting non-essential Cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 8.

7.2 Strictly Necessary Cookies are set without consent because they are essential to provide the Site and Services you have requested. Security and Fraud-Prevention Cookies may also be set on this basis where they are necessary to protect the Site, Services, and users.

7.3 Where consent is not strictly required, we may rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site and Services, balanced against your rights and freedoms.

7.4 For Marketing and Advertising Cookies, we rely exclusively on consent in jurisdictions where consent is required.

8. Your Choices and How to Manage Cookies

8.1 Cookie Preference Centre

When you first visit the Site, and from time to time thereafter, we display a cookie banner that allows you to accept all Cookies, reject non-essential Cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You can revisit your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of the Site or via the equivalent control. Changes take effect prospectively and may not affect Cookies already set on your device, which you can delete through your browser.

8.2 Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block Cookies through their settings. The exact steps vary by browser; please refer to the help section of your browser. If you block all Cookies, including Strictly Necessary Cookies, parts of the Site or Services may not function correctly.

8.3 Mobile Device Controls

On mobile devices, you may be able to limit ad tracking and reset your advertising identifier through device settings. For example, on iOS, see Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising; on Android, see Settings > Google > Ads.

8.4 Industry Opt-Out Tools

You can use industry opt-out tools to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating advertisers.

These tools rely on Cookies. If you delete Cookies, change browsers, or use a different device, you may need to opt out again.

8.6 Effect of Disabling Cookies

If you reject or disable certain Cookies, your experience of the Site or Services may be affected. For example, you may not be able to log in or maintain a session, the Site may not remember your preferences, certain content may not display correctly, and analytics may not capture your activity. Strictly Necessary Cookies cannot be disabled through our preference centre because they are essential to operate the Site.

9. Children

The Site and Services are intended for business-to-business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly use Cookies to collect Personal Data from children under the age of sixteen (16), or such higher age as required by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided Personal Data through the Site, please contact us at info@wewire.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

10.1 We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Cookies we use, our practices, applicable law, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised.

10.2 Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as through the cookie banner, by email, or by a prominent notice on the Site, and where required by applicable law, will obtain your renewed consent.

10.3 Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated Policy.
