CHALLENGE: The challenge for this basment project was to maintain the book shelves and produce a usable theater while minimizing the noise on the floor above.
SOLUTION: The simulation was produced first to give a good visual of the finished product.
The final product had the:
Equipment located under a stairway, in another part of the basement
Front speakers and subwoofer hidden behind cloth along the screen
Rear speakers in the ceiling above the seating
Sound proofing material was installed above the new ceiling that almost completely eliminated any sound in the room above.
CHALLENGE: The challenge for this interior pool project was to design an audio system to handle a traditionally high-echo area
SOLUTION: The pre-wire was done before any work was started and our crew came in on the only day the ceiling would be open to extend the pre-wiring into the ceiling supports. The next day, we returned to install the speakers into the ceiling.
The audio equipment was installed in a bar area next to the pool with a wall control in the pool area.
CHALLENGE: The challenge for this family room project was to hide the technology to the point of making it almost invisible at first glance.
SOLUTION: The only visible component, is the TV. The speakers are inobtrusibly placed on the book shelves. The rear speakers are hidden on the rear book shelves along with the subwoofer. The cable box, DVD and receiver are inside the cabinet with RF remote for easy operation of the system.
CHALLENGE: The challenge for this project was to design a central location of entertainment equipment so they can be accessed from anywhere in the house.
SOLUTION: Let each viewer have a cable box, instead of each TV. This enables a recorded show to be viewed on any TV in the house.
In the basement the server rack holds all of the cable boxes, a video switch and all audio equipment for whole house distribution. With this setup, anyone can select any of the cable boxes on any TV or select the music of their choice in any room with a handheld remote, an iPhone or an iPod touch without having to see any equipment.
