Networking for your home and office
Today many households have more than one computer. Networking makes it
possible to access files in each machine, share software and hardware like
external drive, printers and scanners. Even if you only have one computer
now, when it is time to upgrade your system, the old machine will likely go into
an office or your child's room.
Networking greatly increases the utility of multiple machines. If you
have cable modem, DSL or satellite internet service, networking allows
your computers to share the same internet connection. If you live in
a house without structured wiring,
don't worry, there are products available that will enable you to use
the existing wiring to network your computers together. It is never too
late to network your existing home. |
